Join Full Circle Adventures and Chimney Rock Bed and Breakfast for this wonderful exploration of edible plants and how to cook them. The native plants have adapted to grow here for thousands of years and the indigenous people adapted right alongside them using many plants as food, medicine, tools and utensils. When the first Europeans came they brought a whole new genre of plants that we now call weeds. Yet these plants too have edible and medicinal uses. Learn to identify, peel and cook a handful of these plants and with the help of the Webster Ranch kitchen, combine them with salad, wild rice and elk sausages to make the most nutritious and fresh meal you've had in a long time!

Wildflowers in Your Yard
Discover the beauty of our native wildflowers and learn to grow them in your own yard.Find out where the best places are to get seeds and what the light and water preferences are. Native wildflowers need less water once they get going, and are adapted to all of our climate follies. Learn to identify at least three new plants out walking in this pristine rangeland and identify the wild plants that are growing in our hosts garden.

Wild Tea Party!
Join Dames Julie, Jennifer and Jo-Anne for this walkabout on one of the first ranches in Alberta discovering the delicious and medicinal native teas. Walk a land seen by few. Have lunch on the bank of Willow creek and then head to Herbal Healing Apothecary in Nanton to taste and take home your own blend of native teas. Tea never tasted so wild and the mad hatter may yet show up for tea with us!
