Cross Country Skiing

Cross Country Skiing is the most engaging way to enjoy winter! Once you have the essentials down, you are able to fluidly ski across the rolling hills through the evergreen forests with the fresh smells of winter embracing you.

The art of Cross Country Skiing is to use minimum effort for maximum efficiency in transporting yourself across the snow.

Cross country skiing uses 90% of your bodies muscle groups and it improves core stability. The design of Nordic skis combined with learning to use your ankles, calves, knees, thighs, hips and arms in harmony generates a graceful and rhythmic flow called diagonal stride.

This is why lessons are so important.

Our half day course is an overall introduction to level terrain techniques and basic hill information. We offer a full day of level terrain to give you the most experiential learning for your time. After that the full day of hill techniques will prepare you for most easy to moderate groomed trails in Kananaskis country.
